About Jan-Niklas Schwippert
Jan-Niklas Schwippert studied law at the University of Hamburg and the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin (Kammergericht Berlin) with appointments, among others, at the German Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection, well-known cross-regional chambers in the area of constitutional and environmental law and at the Berlin Administrative Court (Verwaltungsgericht Berlin) in the court responsible for environmental and emissions trading law. He was admitted to the bar in 2019. Alongside his legal work, he devotes his time to a doctorate project concerning a topic under international law.
Career and range of consulting services
Jan-Niklas Schwippert joined Kopp-Assenmacher & Nusser as a lawyer in 2019. His main area of practice is environmental law. Mr Schwippert advises on issues concerned with emission control and licensing law, emissions trading law and waste legislation and water rights, in particular for medium-sized and industrial corporations.
