Dr. Bernhard Linnartz joined Kopp-Assenmacher & Nusser as a lawyer in 2021. He has several years of legal experience in the field of planning law, especially in connection with large-scale infrastructure projects in the energy and transport sector, and is a recognised expert in the fields of immission control, water and nature conservation law. Dr. Bernhard Linnartz primarily advises and represents private and public project managers in approval procedures and projects.

Dr. Bernhard Linnartz studied at the Rhenish Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn where he obtained his PhD with a thesis on European environmental quality law under Prof. Dr. Dr. Durner, LL.M. Having completed his legal clerkship, which included a posting at the Federal Constitutional Court, he worked, inter alia, as a research assistant at the universities of Lucerne and Trier (Institute for Environmental and Technology Law, IUTR) and as a lawyer at a law firm specialising in environmental and planning law. Dr. Linnartz was admitted to the bar in 2014. Most recently, he worked as a lawyer at a Munich-based law firm with nationwide operations where he focused on infrastructure planning (2019 to 2021). Dr. Linnartz primarily advises private and public enterprises in the energy sector and the mining and commodities industry as well as companies active in traditional industrial sectors (e.g. chemicals, cement, steel). He publishes regularly on the topics relating to his main areas of practice and gives lectures on environmental and planning law subjects.
