About Dirk Buchsteiner
Dirk Buchsteiner joined Kopp-Assenmacher & Nusser as a lawyer in 2019. He specialises in environmental law, including environment-related approval and licensing law, immission control, water and waste law as well as soil protection and nature conservation law. Mr. Buchsteiner advises and represents SMEs and industrial enterprises. He regularly publishes papers and has been overseeing the legislative overview of the I+E magazine for many years.
Career and range of consulting services
Mr. Buchsteiner obtained his degree from the University of Osnabrück and completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Celle, including postings in Hanover and Berlin as well as with the Senator for Construction, Environment and Transport in Bremen. He worked as a research assistant in Berlin-based law firms specialising in environmental and planning law and as a lecturer at the Municipal University of Applied Administrative Sciences in Lower Saxony (HSVN) for a number of years.
Mr. Buchsteiner advises medium-sized and bigger companies as well as public clients in all matters relating to administrative law, in particular matters concerning planning, environmental, nature conservation and construction law. One of his primary fields of action is the supervision of approval procedures, including all questions relating to environmental impact assessments, public participation and public authority participation as well as European protected species and habitat law. He provides assistance at hearings, both on behalf of project sponsors and in support of authorities, and is the author of numerous publications.
